Calm Cordial

Key Ingredients:

Turmeric: This beautiful orange-fleshed root is a main spice in Indian curry and is a great source of cucurmin, its active ingredient. Tumeric stimulates digestion, it is good for the liver and gall bladder and has been known to help support liver function and prevent gall stones. It has incredible anti-inflammatory properties and can help ease chronic pain.

Ginger: A pungent and richly fragrant rhizome, ginger is rich in the polyphenol gingerol. Polyphenols are one of the constituents that make up terpenes. Ginger is known to help settle indigestion and other digestive issues. It is also anti-inflammatory and helps boost the immune system. Ginger is a warming spice.

Oat (from oat milk): Oat is a mild nervine and helps stimulate the nervous system. Oats can help with mental and physical exhaustion and alleviate symptoms of irritability or lack of focus. They are perfect for a morning and why oatmeal is such a nice breakfast food.

Black Pepper: Mildly stimulative, gives a slight boost to your morning ritual. Black pepper helps increase the bioavailability of the cucurmin in tumeric. It also helps ease bloating and gas.

Honey: Honey in its raw form is best. When honey is pasteurized the process removes many of the nutrients and benefits from bee pollen, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. So clear often does not mean better. Honey is also known to be antibacterial and antifungal. And much like the other ingredients in this recipe also aids with digestion.
