Chinese New Year Cocktails

Try these Koan Cordial Cocktails to Celebrate the Chinese New Year!

In celebration of the Year of The Rabbit, we have two new toast-worthy cannabis cocktail recipes! Set your intentions and set your mood with the Koan Cordial of your choice!


The White Rabbit


This cocktail is a nod to one of our favorite childhood candies – The White Rabbit Creamy Candy. You know the one — chewy, white, wrapped in rice paper. Did you know it’s been in production since 1943 in Shanghai? We hope this cocktail sparks good memories and a bit of nostalgia!

The White Rabbit (Yields two cocktails)


  • 4 oz. Coconut milk or Coconut cream
  • 8 oz. Cream Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract or vanilla flavoring
  • 2 scoops Ice
  • Optional nutmeg for dusting and 1 star anise pod


Place all ingredients (except garnishes) in a shaker and shake vigorously. The liquid should be frothy. Strain into two martini or double old fashioned glasses. Top with cream soda being careful not to deflate the foam. Serve with ice or up.

Garnish with a dash of fresh ground nutmeg and/or float 1 star anise on top.


The Peter Rabbit


The Peter Rabbit (Yields two cocktails)


  • 4 oz. Carrot juice
  • 4 oz. Orange juice
  • 2 oz. Ginger beer
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • Ice
  • Optional garnish with carrot ribbons, 1 fresh carrot


Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into two martini glasses or double old fashioned glasses. Serve with ice or up.

Garnish with a carrot ribbon, by taking a peeler and peel 1-2 long strips from a fresh carrot. Fan-fold the ribbon onto a cocktail pick and place over the top of the glass.
