San Francisco Fog
A savory and serene beverage designed by Koan for Vapor Room
Ingredients
- 8 oz. of Oat Milk or alt milk of your choice
- ½ tsp Cinnamon
- 1 sachet Earl Grey
- ¼ tsp Whole Nutmeg
- ½ tsp Vanilla paste or extract or flavoring
- ⅛ tsp Black pepper or 7-10 grinds from a mill
- ½ tsp agave syrup (or sweeten to taste, optional)
- For foam: 2 oz of Oat Milk
Instructions
Heat oat milk to just below boiling (180-190° F or 85° C) in a mason jar. Once your milk is heated to temperature, place the mason jar on a potholder on a flat surface, like your countertop. Add all ingredients including your tea bag. Screw the lid securely and finger tight. Shake the mason jar vigorously to blend ingredients. A foam should develop on the top. Pour into a mug or tea cup of your choice. Optional foam topper: In a clean, empty mason jar add an additional 2 oz of oat milk. Secure the lid onto the jar and shake vigorously until frothy. Take a small wire whisk and whisk the milk to a semi-thick foam. Carefully spoon the foam atop the tea. You can also steam to create your foam. Add a dash of nutmeg or cinnamon and enjoy! Can be enjoyed hot or cold.
