Non-Alcoholic, Cannabis-Infused Mulled Wine Holiday Recipe!

We love the fragrance that fills your home or party space when making mulled wine. It instantly brings to mind fond memories of the holidays. Enjoy this non-alcoholic version and pour in a Koan Cordial to add cheer, joy, inspiration and wonder to your holiday season.

Ingredients:

  • 1bottle of non-alcoholic wine (750 ml) or non-alcoholic sangria
  • 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup (optional if using sangria)
  • 6-8 whole cloves
  • 4-6 whole cardamom pods
  • 1 inch of ginger, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 2-3 star anise pods
  • 3 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 1 whole orange, peel only (cut in large strips or curls, not zest)
  • 1 whole orange, sliced into wheels
  • 1 whole lemon, peel only
  • 1 Koan cordial per serving, guest can choose their favorite experience

Optional garnishes:

  • Star anise pods
  • Fresh cranberries
  • Half a lemon or orange slice
  • Half a cinnamon stick

Slow cooker method:

  • Combine all ingredients into a slow cooker and set on medium setting and allow to come up to temperature. Stir ingredients to combine.
  • Avoid allowing the liquid to come to a boil, a slow simmer is fine. Once the liquid becomes fragrant, turn the heat down to low or keep warm setting.
  • Simmer on low for 15-20 minutes before serving, to allow the flavors to marry.
  • Ladle info heat-proof mugs or glassware. Avoid adding any boiled fruit or spices to your serving vessels. Add fresh garnishes for a pretty presentation.

  • Optional: Add fresh garnishes of any of the following, but be sure to use sparingly so as not to overwhelm the mug. Try anise seed pods, fresh cranberries, a lemon/orange wheel, or half a cinnamon stick.
